How do I book?


There are five ways to book a holiday with Railtrail Tours:


  • Directly from this website by clicking on the ‘Book Now’ button or going through the Tours page on the website and selecting the tour you want and selecting ‘Check Availability’.


  • By telephoning our Customer Services Team on 01538 382323 with your chosen holiday on the website or on the relevant page in our brochure. Our Customer Service Advisors will be happy to complete your booking details and take a deposit by card payment over the telephone.


  • By telephoning our Customer Service Team to make an optional booking. We will hold the place(s) on your chosen holiday for up to 7 days.


  • By ordering a brochure and sending in a printed booking form with your deposit. Or downloading your booking form from our website and sending your deposit in with your booking form.


  • We also sell our holidays through selected travel agents.


The online booking process is self-explanatory once you have pressed the Book Now link in the tour you like. 


If you have any queries whatsoever, you can also use the link to "Request a Call Back" or contact us by e-mail. The Railtrail Customer Service team will reply or ring you back in office hours and answer any queries.  


(Some departures are also marked as "Call Back" if, for instance, there are options we need to discuss with you. Use the Call Back facility to register your interest and we will call you to discuss the tour, without obligation.)


If you prefer to book in writing you can download a Railtrail Tours Booking Form* and book your chosen holiday using the details and fares listed on the tour's web page. Please complete the form in full and post it to us along with your deposit.


Or contact us on 01538 382323 during office hours and we will take you through the booking process.


At time of booking you need to pay a deposit of £75 PER PERSON for UK tours, £150 PER PERSON for European and £250 PER PERSON for worldwide tours. Remember - deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.


A written confirmation of receipt of your booking will be forwarded to you, along with details of when your balance of fare is due for payment. Whilst every effort is taken to ensure all details are correct, we ask that on receipt of all your documentation you check all the details and notify us immediately of any concerns.
